Accelerating the Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation: A Comprehensive Framework 🌟 The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is spearheading a crucial initiative to combat Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) through its innovative Framework to Accelerate the Elimination of FGM. This framework is designed to address and eradicate this harmful practice, which remains a severe violation of human rights and a form of gender-based violence. 🔍 Understanding FGM: FGM encompasses various procedures involving partial or total removal of the external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.
